Drone Laws in Oman

Our advice is always to be up to date with the latest news and conditions before you decide and perform a drone flight. After that, you must keep also the drone regulations in Oman listed bellow.

In Oman, there are some specific rules for foreigners.

 – In Oman, only Commercial flights are allowed. 

 – Each Commercial drone flight must have a Permit. This Permit has to be obtained before entering the country. 

General Drone Laws in Oman

 – As we say – commercial drone flights require a Permit. If you try t enter in Oman with your drones but without this Permit – you risk your drone to be confiscated by the customs. 

 – 18 years – is the minimum age of the drone pilot.

Conditions to ger permit for drone flight in Oman:

 You have to request the permit at least 15 days before the planned drone flight and you need to have it entering the country.  

 Permits can be obtained from Oman’s National Survey Authority (NSA). Need information is:

 – Name of the Drone pilot. If more people will participate in the drone flight – their name is also required.  

 – Contact details.

 – Information on drone flight’s purposes. 

 – Full details in drone flight – location, coordinates, spots of taking off, and landing.
