General Drone Laws in the Solomon Islands
– All drones over 25 kilograms need to have Permission from the MCA.
– Distance to any Airport or Airfield – at least 4 kilometers.
– Max allowed altitude – 122 meters.
– Drone pilots must keep the VLOS ( Visual Line Of Sight).
– Always give way to the manned aircraft.
– Always fly under the clouds.
– Fly only in good weather conditions and clear visibility.
– Don’t fly over private property without its owner agreement.

Some tourist travel tips for the Solomon Islands
The Solomon Islands cover an area of 28,000 square kilometers. in most of the Solomon Islands archipelago. Nearly 990 beautiful and exotic islands are scattered in the southwestern part of the Pacific Ocean, the distance from the westernmost to the easternmost point of the island is 1500 km. The first Europeans to set foot on the lands of the islands were the Spaniards. Because of the gold they found on one of the islands, they named them after King Solomon, famous for his wealth.
Today, the Solomon Islands are part of the British Commonwealth. Among the largest islands are the Shortland Islands, Choiseul, Santa Isabel, the Russell Islands, the Florida Islands and others. If you decide to visit the islands, keep in mind that the rainy season is from November to March. Apart from the frequent showers, it is also characterized by strong monsoon winds.
It is estimated that there are about 3 million undiscovered shipwrecks scattered on the ocean floor. Some of them are thousands of years old.
Many sunken ships have been declared historically significant and protected by UNESCO as part of the underwater cultural heritage. Some of them have been abandoned and others have been turned into tourist attractions.
The last shipwreck that caught the world’s attention was that of the Costa Concordia, which turned in the waters off the west coast of Italy in January 2012.
Its huge posture attracts thousands of tourists to the area. The withdrawal operation began in mid-2013, but will continue for a long time.
