Italy has plenty of beauties that the drone pilots love to shoot. But like every country in the world, Italy also have own rules and laws. That’s why we advise you to check them before fly your drone above.

No matter of the country the drone community have some basic principles which each drone pilot must follow.

They are:

– Keep all the time visual contact with the drone.

– Never fly above Airports and Airfields.

– Always check the technical condition of the drone before flight.

– Always read and inform yourself about regional drone laws and rules.

– Be prepared with everything and for everything.

Basic drone regulations in Italy

Drone must be supplied with plate witch is showing the data of identification – of the pilot and the drone. Some copy of this – identical, must be placed on the remote pilot station. Since 1st of July 2016 for all drones who can transmit data in real time – need to have Electronic Identification Device.

Other Drone regulations:

    • – Flying night is forbidden.

    • – Keep direct eye contact during all the process.

    • – It is NOT allow to fly above people, big sports events, concerts or crowds.

    • – 5 kilometers is the minimum distance to Airports or Airfields.

    • – For recreational usages drones must keep not to fly more than 70 meters above the ground.

    • – For Commercial purposes the drones must keep height under 150 meters.

    • – A Statement of Compliance with requirements to ENAC along with a 94 Euro processing fee must be submitted from the drone pilots for drones conducted low-risk operations.

    • – For high-risked operations – the drone pilots must pass training and get operating Certificate. As well Health Certificate. More information about rules and requirements – you can read on – this page on the ENAC website.
