Ukraine War - how drones can be used

Undoubtedly, the military actions on the territory of Ukraine are a concern for the whole world. Modern combat techniques and machines now include drones. In the Ukraine War – drones will be involved, for sure. Apart from the beautiful photos and videos they make, drones can also be used in military operations.
What can be done with drones in Ukraine War
An unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), also known as a combat drone, colloquially shortened as a drone or battlefield UAV, is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that is used for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance and carries aircraft ordnance such as missiles, ATGMs, and/or bombs in hardpoints for drone strikes. These drones are usually under real-time human control, with varying levels of autonomy. Unlike unmanned surveillance and reconnaissance aerial vehicles, UCAVs are used for both drone strikes and battlefield intelligence.
Aircraft of this type have no onboard human pilot. As the operator runs the vehicle from a remote terminal, equipment necessary for a human pilot is not needed, resulting in a lower weight and a smaller size than a manned aircraft. Many countries have operational domestic UCAVs, and many more have imported armed drones or are in the process of developing them.
An armed drone equipped with bombs can destroy an entire electronic warfare system or several armed vehicles. The advantage of using drones is that they are Unnamed and can be controlled from distance. The goals and the targets are far away and the drone flights are prepared with high accuracy.
Military drones – used in missions
With no doubt, the new technologies, in the present time, will be included in all military missions. This includes the conflict in Ukraine.
According to recent publications, Ukraine has purchased Turkish military drones. Turkish drones attracted worldwide attention in 2020 after playing a key role in Azerbaijan’s defeat against Armenian-backed forces in Nagorno-Karabakh. Drones have recently played a key role in the Ethiopian civil war. TB2 Bayraktar drones supplied by Turkey have been game-changers in the Caucasus, Libya and Syria.
Drones in Russia-Ukraine war
In conflicts such as Syria, Libya, and Nagorno-Karabakh, Turkish drones have been used against low-quality or virtually no air defenses. However, the Russian army has a large number of advanced means of air defense and electronic warfare equipment, said Arda Mevlutoglu – defense analyst. So in the Russia – Ukraine conflict drones can be involved too.
