Some tourist travel tips for Sweden
Visit the Cathedral of Sant Petri
The St. Petri Kyrka Cathedral is located very close to Stortorget Square and is the oldest building in Malmo. It was built in the 14th century in Gothic style and contains preserved pieces of murals from the 15th century. It is interesting to see the 105m high tower, as well as the altar, which is considered one of the largest in Northern Europe.
Rent a bike and take a city tour
This is the fastest and most enjoyable way to see as much of it as you can. If you don’t know, Malmo is also called “the city of parks.” It has been named one of the three greenest cities in the world and has won a bunch of environmental care awards. There are bikes everywhere, and the walk is extremely enjoyable. 4 large and 16 smaller parks make you feel almost all the time riding a bicycle in the forest, but on very comfortable, paved trails.
Take a stroll in Kungsparken and see Malmohus Castle
Kungsparken is a city park. It was built at the end of the 19th century, very close to the Malmöhus Slott Castle. Part of it is set aside for an English garden. Along the meandering lanes, trees can be seen, which usually grow on different continents. A windmill, play areas and picnic areas complement the park’s charming, peaceful atmosphere.
