Drone Regulations in Georgia

General Rules for Flying a Drone in Georgia

Our advise is always to be up to date with the latest news and conditions before you decide and perform a drone flight. After that you must keep also the drone laws in Georgia listed bellow.

  – If your drone is less than 250 grams, the rules are nor necessary obligated. 

  – Minimum age of the drone pilot – at least 13 years. Children under 18 years old – have to perform drone flights under adult supervising.

  – Flying over buildings, people, crowds, power lines and special objects ( Military ) – is forbidden. 

  – Visual contact with the drone – during hall flight. 

  – Maximum allowed Altitude – 120 meters. 

  – Flying close to any Airports or Airfields – is Forbidden. 

  – Minimal Distance to any Airport or Airfield- at least 6 kilometers. 

  – Keep people privacy and don’t fly above private property without its owner agreement. 

  – Drone pilots must have liability Insurance. 

  – Maximum allowed weight of the drone- 25 kgs.

  – Maximum allowed speed of flight – 54 km/h.
