So we give you the basic First Steps - Drone Beginners Guide

If you are considering buying an expensive drone but are anxious to learn from it, you might want to get a cheaper drone, such as the Syma X5SW, the Syma X5C-1, to gain pilot skills, and then have the confidence to flights with more expensive drones.

Other very suitable drone models are:

Eachine H8 Mini – a small drone that you can train at home
Eachine E010 – also a small and sturdy indoor training drone
JJRC H31 – Medium-sized solid and moisture resistant drone
Syma X5SC – drone with outdoor camera
JXD 509W – barometer drone and camera that is monitored in real time on a smartphone
Syma X8HW – a large and powerful drone with a camera monitored on a smartphone. Suitable for outdoor flying.
Hubsan H501S – professional drone with 1080P camera, GPS positioning, automatic features, FPV monitoring.

Before any drone flight, it’s a good idea to do so-called pre-flight training ( especially from First Steps for Drone Beginners guide), which includes:

Drone charging, remote control, smartphone / monitor.
Inserting a memory card of sufficient size in the drone if you are going to shoot.
Meteorological conditions check

Just before the flight:

Checking the technical condition of the drone and blades (body cracks, blades injuries, checking for vibrating elements).
Introduction to the terrain (trees, buildings, poles, wires).
Selecting a take-off / landing site and securing it (enclosure if necessary to prevent people and animals from passing).
Flight planning (going to the objects to be filmed, etc.).
Drone calibration if necessary (compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, etc.)

Advices:

Always hold the drone about 2-3 meters high in front of you for 5-10 seconds when taking off and watch for strange noises and instability of the drone. If all is well you can continue with the fields.
Don’t fly over people.
Do not fly very close to buildings.
Fly so you always have direct drone visibility.
Do not fly near airports, towers, large antennas, etc.
If you are flying over private property, ask for the appropriate permit.
Do not use alcohol and other opiates before flying. Before perform your first fly be sure that you have read all basic drone beginners guide. This will make your first flight safe and pleasant.

The first flight

After read and remember the first steps for drone beginners, it is time for action. Before each drone launch, make sure that the surface on which you put it is as even as possible. Turn on the drone and the remote control. Some drones are automatically recognized (synchronized) with the remote, but in others, the drone-remote recognition needs to be done with your help. Most often, when switching on the drone first and then on the remote control, the left stick (Gas) must be slid as high as possible and then as far down as possible. This is the pairing procedure.

If the drone is equipped with a camera and it is monitored on a monitor or smartphone, you need to turn on the monitor or connect the smartphone to the remote (via cable or wireless with WiFi). Then launch the application you are monitoring (on your smartphone).

Rotate the engines and take off

There are different ways of incorporating motors in different drones, but there are generally two ways. In drones with a barometer, a command is given by the two sticks, usually, the two sticks are placed in the down position and in the centre of the remote or on the remote there is a special Take off / Landing button. After the engines with a gas supply are deployed, the speed of all engines is increased and the drone starts to rise.
For drones without a barometer, the engines and take-offs are only triggered by supplying gas.

Landing

Panorama Mode – gives you a fantastic opportunity to build panorama photo. If your drone doesn’t have this option, you can do it by yourself. Just take a number of shots. After that, you can stitch them using editing software. This can be Adobe Lightroom. The Panorama photo allows you to catch more details in one scene than wide range photo.

When positioning the drone above the landing point, slide the throttle stick down slightly until the drone begins to lower slowly. Do not drop the throttle stick sharply down as the drone will start to drop rapidly. When the drone is 10 cm from the ground, remove the throttle completely and hold it until the fins are extinguished.
Exercise in the air for training

To become good at some things, it takes a lot of practice, and so it is. The first steps for drone beginners guide are nothing if you do not practice them.

We’ll start with some easy drone movements. Keep in mind that some of them will need more air space to fill them.

Square
One of the easiest manoeuvres to do with the right stick only, as you won’t have to worry about how the front of the drone is oriented.

180-degree rotation

This is an easy exercise that is performed with both joints on the remote control. Move the drone forward with the right stick, then with the left stick left or right, rotate the front of the drone 180 degrees and with the right stick turn it backwards.
This exercise lets you know how a drone flies when it changes its orientation.

Front-facing square

This exercise is very similar to the first, but the front of the drone should be directed in its direction of flight. The front is directed with the left stick left or right.

Circle

Here is a more complex exercise for performing which you need to work with both joints at the same time. With the right stick, move the drone forward, and with the left stick, rotate it slightly around its axis, depending on the direction of the circle.

Eight

In this exercise, you have to change the direction of the circle. You have to make two circles one with left and one with right.

Object rotation (orbit)

A very useful exercise that you can often use in the future when you want to shoot a subject from all sides. The goal here is always to have the front of the drone pointing toward the centre of the circle.

In conclusion

There may be things we missed that will occur when you start flying, but always think before you fly out for safety, both to you and to others. Observe the weather conditions, do not cross the boundary of drone capabilities. Before the first flight, read the operating instructions of the machine you are piloting carefully.

Practice is at the heart of good piloting and great videos and photos! If you follow first steps from drone beginners guide and after that start to use them – you will became a great drone pilot.
