Main Drone regulations in Begium:
In Belgium exist 3 Classes of drone operations. They need 3 different types licensing.
Type 1 – Class 1 a operations
- Max high of the flight – 90 meters outside controlled spaces.
30 meters minimum distance to people and crowds.
Only day time flights.
Keep eye contact with the drone non stop.
Max weight of the drone – 150 kg
License is given after passing Theoretical exam and a practical exam, both organized from BCAA.
Type 2 – Class 1 b operations
- Fly max 90 meters above the ground.
Only daytime flights.
Max weight of the drone – 150 kg.
Visual contact – all the time.
For this type – you need Remote pilot license. You can get it from BCAA after passing Theoretical and Practical exams.
Class 2 Drone Operations
Onlydaytime drone operations.
Drone weight – under 5 kg.
High of fly – under 45meters.
