Main drone rules in Ireland

Our advise is always to be up to date with the latest news and conditions before you decide and perform a drone flight. After that you must keep also the drone laws in Ireland listed bellow.

 – For flying more than 15 meters and you drone is more than 1 kg – you need to have a Registration. This Registration can be done on the IAA’s website –  here.

 – Max allowed weight of registered drones – 25 kilograms. 

 – Max allowed altitude – 120 meters. 

 – Keep Visual contact with the drone – during hall flight. 

 – Max allowed distance to the drone – 300 meters. 

 – Distance to any Airport – at least 5 kilometers. 

 – Distance to any people, crouds, buildings, vehicle and other objects – at least 30 meters. 

 – Flying over National Monuments – is Forbidden. 

 – Insurance – not obligated, but recommanded.
